I consistently set up my form to only authorize credit card payments but it does not remain that way after I log out.

Apologies for the inconveniences this may have caused to you.
I have been testing with the different payment integration JotForm has and noticed the issue only happens with the PayPal Pro integration, standard and the express integration seems to be working fine so far.
I will report this issue to our second level so our developers can further investigate and resolve it, we will let you know as soon as we get any updates about it.

This is fixed now. Authorization-only option should now be saved properly.
