New Form Layout: Hidden fields are not shown on the form when a submission is edited

Hi - I've created a couple of test forms related to hidden fields where I've hidden a field and I've also used the Hidden widget. If the form uses the "Legacy" format then i can edit both types of fields when editing an existing form submission.

However, if I'm using the "New" form layout then it's extremely clunky to do any type of editing of submitted values, and it's nearly impossible to edit anything things in hidden fields (especially if there are more than one), and Hidden widgets don't show up at all.

Any ETA on when this will be fixed?

I was able to replicate mentioned issue with the Hidden Box widget and with a basic Text Box field when the Hide Filed option is set to ON.

I will report this issue to our developers, but we can not provide you a time frame when this issue will be resolved. Once the issue is resolve we will inform you via this thread.

For now I can only suggest you to use the 'Legacy Layout'.

I have just tested this and noticed the issue still persists, unfortunately, we have not received any updates regarding this ticket.

I will ask for updates to our second level, we will let you know as soon as possible.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

The problem should be fixed. Now, you can see your hidden fields on edit mode in our new layout. Please check it and let me know if you'll need anything further.

    Thank you.

sorry, but i still don't think this has been fixed. i just created a brand new form called "Another test of hidden field" and switched it to the "New Layout".

i then added a normal field ("Full Name") and then i added a short text field and in the advanced tab i changed it to be hidden.

when i go to the form it only shows me the Full Name question (as i would expect). i submitted a test entry.

i then went back to View Submissions to see my test entry. i press the "edit form" button and it took me to the same layout that the public sees - but it did NOT show me the hidden field so there was no way for me to add a value to the hidden field.

what would be a very clever solution is that your "edit form" button should always take people to the "Legacy Layout" so that the public would see the new layout and an admin in edit mode would see the legacy layout, but perhaps there are other reasons you can't do that. all i know is that taking an administrator to the New Layout when trying to edit a submission makes the process extremely cumbersome because you have to flip through all the pages of the form. (and of course it also has the downside of it not showing the hidden fields at all, which was my original reason for opening this support ticket.)

Apologies for the inconveniences this may have caused to you.

I have been testing this and found that hidden fields are not appearing when you edit the submission through the submissions page.

Here's a screenshot while I tested your form:

However, I can see the issue when I used the edit link of a submission:

I will report this to our second level so this can be investigated, we will update you as soon as possible.
