I thought there was previously an option to remove the form title, however I had to make it invisible in the editor to get rid of it.

The title of your form is 'Share Your Story'. How did you make it invisible?

Inside of this guide you can find how to change the title of a form:

How to Change the Title or Name of your Form

Or are you maybe referring to the 'Welcome page'?

Under custom I had to make the title see through/invisible to not see it.  I know how to change the name, but I would prefer a preference to not post the title of the form above the embedded form

I just updated the welcome page properties and made the text black, which then allowed the thank you message to appear, however this added back the form title, which I do not want displayed on the page.  Is there a way to remove the title?  (see attached screenshots)

By default the title of the form is shown on the top of the page and it is not possible to remove it. The only way to remove it is to delete it from the settings option. The Title cannon be empty, so you will have to add a space character.

Like I mentioned on your other thread if you want to have more possibilities to customize your form you should switch the form to the 'Legacy Layout'.
