    Hello there,

We are trying to launch a new form but cannot fix the PDF to be bilingual.

Our form is bilingual (required by law for Federal agencies) but the PDF associated that is sent to the services agency and copy to submitter is not.

Please help us to fix this urgently.

My contact name is FIONA SOWARD and email is fiona.soward@cbc.ca

    Thank you.

UPDATE: We are excited to announce that we have just released the new version of JotForm PDF Editor.

    Hello Fiona,

PDFs are not dynamic in the sense when it comes to changing the texts inside the document, so it is not possible to actually have a switch in the PDF to change the language texts. When laying out the style of your PDF, the question labels there are static and the information which the PDF being created only pulls the data based on the submitted answers.

What I can recommend instead is set or change the layout of your PDF to non-English, is that making use of a 3rd party application called AutoCrat on Google Spreadsheets. But please take note that this requires your form to be integrated to Google Spreadsheet. You do not need to worry since integrating your form with Google Spreadsheet does not cost anything. To know more about this idea, please check out this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/457-How-to-Create-a-Customized-PDF-or-Google-Doc-for-Your-Submissions

On this sense, you get to have two different PDF submissions, one from JotForm, the other one from your Google Spreadsheet integration.

    Thanks.

Thank you, I'll check that out.  I need to send the PDF in my email after form submission, not sure if it does that.

Unfortunately, this other PDF (based on the Google integration) does not send to the email, unlike the one that is based on JotForm's submissions. Thus, this is the only limit for now.

So another alternative I could think of is just create a separate form for a different language. This way, you are able to create a different PDF submission layout template that should conform to your language requirements concern.

In relation to this concern, I will also escalate a feature request for a possibility to have multiple PDF templates that can be made in a single form. However, I cannot guarantee this to be implemented soon since it still shall be subject for approval. And likewise due to the list of tasks our developers are working on in their pipeline. But if in case we get updates on such a feature, we'll let you know right away.

    Thanks and warm regards.
