Submission reports: Possibility to filter report based on the input from a certain field

    Hi,

I have been asked if this were possible to do.

My report https://www.jotform.com/table/72754619308059 has a column called Approved By. This is the name of a particular judge.

The question is, can a report be made that is specific to each name in the column?

My answer was I didn't think so and that they can sort by name. Problem is, apparently, that we don't want the judges seeing what others have approved.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you, Robert

Try it with Visual Report filter:

    https://www.jotform.com/help/187-How-to-create-a-Visual-Report-with-your-Form-Submissions

    https://www.jotform.com/help/281-How-To-Use-Visual-Report-Filters

You can filter the visual report by question and answer, and the textbox is supported. That should work for your purpose.

    Hi,

So I use this report option and create a report according to my needs.  I may need some guidance along the way. It looks a bit mind bending.

    Thank you, regards Robert

    Hi,

Wow this was much easier to use then I imagined. here is my first:  https://www.jotform.com/report/72774041608053 . I can add or delete column as required but what I don't see is the edit url column which would be very helpful to have. Also is then any way to make it fit the screen?

    Thank you, Robert

I'm sorry, but the Edit URL column is not available in this reporting tool. There is also no option you can fit the table on the screen.

I also cannot seem to get a workaround on this, not even possible to have the submission ID which you can use to build the edit URL. That's the downside.

    @ Welvin

Look at this as an opportunity. Edit the app to allow these fields to be used. :) I know you can do this.

    Thank you, Robert

One other question about this, could Zapier create a form or sheet with a filter like this?

Well, there is this: https://zapier.com/zapbook/jotform/zoho-reports/ it's an integration with Zoho reports (https://www.zoho.com/reports/), but, honestly, I think this is a bit too much for what you need. Feel free to try though.

Regarding the Visual report, I'm afraid that I must agree with Welvin on this one since there is no way to add the submission ID in order to create an edit link.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thank you!

OK, I will use as is although having the fields you indicate would very helpful. Every time I introduce a new form or report my boss says: Is there more we can do?

    Thank you, Robert

I hear you, Robert, I will open a ticket for this and forward it to our backend team for a possible implementation of some sort of filter for a report where you can filter the whole report through a certain field.
