    Hover Text too far to right

    Asked by dasjell on September 06, 2012 at 04:55 PM

    My Hover Text is too far to right on the phone number field. Please let me know how I can fix this. I am not a developer so simple is better. I also don't know how to check which ID the field is. Thank you.

    Can you please tell us which of your forms this is happening on?

    We may be able to provide some custom CSS to fix the issue up for you.

    The phone number is far to the right - just need it to come over to the left a bit

    A more important issue is the photo uploader is not working on the site. It's grayed out. I recently integrated submissions with droppbox but that shouldn't affect it.

    Hello Dan.  Please try to inject this CSS code into your form:

          #id_41 .form-description  { left: 190px; width: 80px;}

    You can find how to inject CSS codes into your form on this user guide.

    Regarding your photo uploader problem, I have already replied to your other thread which discusses about this.

    Thanks.

    I made the change and it didn't seem to help. Are you sure this is exactly as it should be? I injected the css code you provided I also had some other css code in there but that shouldn't matter.

    I will respond to the other email regarding the more important issue.

    @dasjell,

    I tested your form and the changes to the hover text worked when using this code in stead of the one that you had.  Hope that helps and please lets us know of any other issues!

    .form-description {left: 150px; width: 80px;}

    What my colleague Lyam has adviced to you

    #id_41 .form-description  { left: 190px; width: 80px;} is correct.

    I made a clone of your form , removed the incorrect setting in the current css(in yellow)

    .form-description {left: 150px; width: 80px;}  for the hover text , and injectd the above in green

    Thank you. It actually worked without using the #id_41
