Can't change account email

I am trying to change the email associated with our account to webmaster@astrosociety.org, but keep getting a "oops, something went wrong" message and the email can't be changed.

The email address (webmaster@astrosociety.org) is already registered to the account username astro1889. 

Please try using a different email address.
