Encrypted forms: data not decrypted after turning off the encryption feature.

    Hi,

When people are filling in my form, the submissions are showing as gibberish. How to convert the filled data to sensible data? Attaching screenshot.

Only setting I touched was....that I had enabled data encryption on the form. Post member filling the form, I disabled it. But the submissions are still showing as gibberish. Please help. Jotform is becoming really unreliable and frustrating for me.

I am already dealing with another issue where I am not able to edit the form submissions and that's already raised by me in a different thread. If these problems continue, I'll have no choice but to shift to a different form platform like mailchimp...I was planning to buy your monthly plan but with these issues cropping up.... I don't know any more.

Submissions that were encrypted will not get decrypted by turning off the Encryption feature from your form. The only way to decrypt the data is by using the encryption key file, if you do not have it, the data is lost, as there is no other way to decrypt the data.

Understood. I received 2 form submissions while encryption was on. Then I
disabled encryption. Now data shows as gibberish and I am not being asked
to fill in the public key....no modal or pop up appears.
Do I need to enable encryption again to view and download that data in two
    forms?

Do you have the original key? If you enable the encryption feature again, it will lead you to generate a new key, which will work only for new submissions. The ones already encrypted will remain that way.
