Can I create sets of data?

Asked by bryant on February 02, 2011 at 02:13 AM

I'm trying to create a graphics submission form.  Each graphic has an identical set of fields to be filled in to further define what is needed.  I'm calling it a "data set".  In this form I'd like the user to select the number of graphics he/she needs.  Once selected, that number of data sets would appear.  If the user selected 5, then 5 sets would appear.  I'd also like for there to not be a limit on the number of data sets one could select.

Please let me know if there's a way to do this.

I really love the site.  Its extremely helpful.

We do not have such field type, however, I have seen many people used Matrix fields for exactly that.

You can have many text fields in a table. So, users can enter the data easily, and creating such a field is also easier for you. But it would not be unlimited like the data set you describe. You will need to have an upper limit on number of entries they can make.
