repeating fields as needed

i know you have a function for this i don't remember what is called.

lets say i have a field for doing equipment inventory for a swimming pool pump room and there may be 1 pump at one facilty and several at another. 

how can i fill out the field for one pump and click additional fields depending on how many pumps there are
