But the horizontal scrollbar is not visible. How do you instruct the user?

Thanks for getting back to us. I tested your form using MacOS on Safari and was able to replicate the issue. Upon investigating further, the issue seems related to how Apple changed some fundamental ways that scrolling works, especially with recent versions of the OS. Please try following the steps below on your MacOS device and see how it goes:

1. Click on the Apple menu and select System Preferences.
2. In the System Preferences window, click the General icon near the upper left corner.
3. Locate the "Show Scroll Bars" section and select Always.
