Scam Inquiry: Fake rental application

Does this app check on those who are creating the forms? I think I was just scammed from someone using this As a rental form taking money. And the property was not for rent. I would like to know how u keep this safe from being scammed when it's supposed to be a safe application. They now how ss# date of Births and so on. The property he posted is not his! I'm reporting him to the police as well as reporting this app.

Thanks for getting back to us. The screenshot you shared hasn't been posted in the forum. Are you perhaps replying via email? Our Support Forum doesn’t accept any of these email attachments, so to post them, you have to click on the View this Thread orange button in the email you received.

It will redirect you to the Support Forum. Scroll down until you get to the Your Answer section. Click on the image icon to upload the images. Click on the Post Answer button when you're done.

Can you also share with us the form URL if you still have it as shown in the screenshot below?

This house was on a for rent site. With this number. After contacted he then sent this link for the application.

After looking into this, we determined that they have violated our Terms of Use. So, we immediately suspended the account, the account owner, as well as any forms and apps connected to it. But, keep in mind that although the form owner has no access to the form or data at Jotform now, they might have received your submission information if they enabled the Notification Email feature.

My partner just got the same scam. Was a link from Kijiji to your site for the form(s).

I certainly understand that you are not liable with your terms of use. But you should really have a method for people to report scams, as the scamming business is so huge and damaging.

• Never fill out a form from an anonymous contact, an unknown organization, or a company with no website or legitimate presence.
• Never pay money to get employment
• Never provide critical information such as your SSN, banking information, or driver’s license numbers, or pictures to such suspicious contacts.
