    Hello,

I am trying to create a form that allows the user to enter the city with an auto complete. The output will be the State and the City. Given that there are ~ 19,000 cities, wasn't sure if its good to do that using the included JotForm auto-complete. I also thought of doing it using two drop-downs, one for State and the other one for City, but that would take tons of time generating the conditions.

I am trying to have something like this:

    http://jqueryui.com/demos/autocomplete/#remote-jsonp

Does JotForm offer ways to do this?

    Thank You!

I don't think it would work. Since auto-complete it created with JavaScript, it will not work well for thousands of entries. It might use too much memory and lock up browsers. So, it is not recommended.

You should probably get the full form source code, copy it to your web site and then integrate that auto-complete with the state and city fields on your JotForm form.

So are you saying that if the commentor above puts the source code to run on his server, it could work with the 19,000 records?  I have do do something similar, yet with 1,000 auto-complete options.  Thanks!

A 1000 options should be fine.

Its a matter of using your own javascript and embedding JotForm source on your own webpage though.

We could probably help you a bit if you decide to proceed with this idea, but please do open a seperate new thread for your own issue.

    Thanks!
