I checked our logs and indeed, the old subscription did not give a credit towards the new subscription. This is due to one subscription being created in PayPal and one via credit card.
I requested a refund for the Bronze subscription. You should receive a full refund of $114.00 via PayPal in the next 5-7 business days.
