I am assuming you want to validate the data with an existing database. Please check the answer provided by my colleague: https://www.jotform.com/answers/457855-How-to-have-input-validation-with-existing-MySQL-database

Please let us know if this is not the case.

The reply I got in the email from your side: - It would be of great help if you provide me a way to validate data from excel sheet. As my form data is being dumped into an excel sheet.

If you want to retrieve the data from an excel sheet to the form you can use the Spreadsheet to form widget.

If you want to validate the input of the user in the form you can do that by clicking on field's settings, then options and Validate section where you can choose the type of validation.

Please let us know if you have any other question.
