    When stripping fields for the autoresponder, what should I use in this case? Also variable fields.

    Asked by PiNKCornerOffice on September 29, 2012 at 08:34 PM

    Here is the scenario....Please help me know what I need to strip.

    {address6}

    #input_6_addr_line1

    {address6:input_6_line1}  ?

    Please also include a variable field example.

    {quantity}

    #input_10_1001, #input_10_quantity_1001_0

    Hello,

    Note that stripping fields is only available for address fields, full name fields and upload fields. We do not have such option for the rest of the fields.

    Basically, what you only need is the form field variable e.g. {address6} and NOT #input_6_addr_line1, #input_10_1001, #input_10_quantity_1001_0 (This is used for formulating CSS codes not for stripping fields).

    Stripping the address field is pretty easy, just get the address field variable e.g. {address6} and add a colon followed by the strings. Example:

    {address6:addr_line1}

    {address6:addr_line2}

    {address6:city} {address6:state} {address6:postal}

    {address6:country}

    Formatted Postal Address Tags

    Remember, the strings (highlighted in blue) is constant. You shouldn't changed it.

    As a result:

    Notification with formatted postal address sans headers

    Compare it to this which isn't stripped:

    notification containing unformatted postal address

    Let me know if you have further questions so we can further assist you. Thanks!
