    Prepopulating Stopped Working

Asked by guest_22755904872058 on October 02, 2012 at 09:18 PM

    Hi!

Things are coming along nicely but the prepopulated data has stopped going over...

It started following a number of design and other additions that I made to the form.

Any idea what the most likely culprit is? There was a section of the form that I removed which was the Authorize.net Header part. I replaced it with a custom header so.

Anyways could sure use some help on this as I am at a loss.

    Hi Spence,

Can you share to us which of your form is this? Was it the 'Authorize Payment Form'? We just want to be sure we are looking at the correct form.

And please clarify also if by 'prepopulated data has stopped..." , you meant that you are not getting submissions notification anymore?

    Will await your response.

    Thanks.

    Hi Jonathan,

Yes it is the Authorize Payment Form I am talkin about. User Data was being passed to it from the form on the home page. It was working perfectly and then just stopped. There was a section of the form that I removed which was the Authorize.net Header part. Not sure if that would cause prepopulation to fail.

I am not using the cloned forms.

    Spence,

The payment module's label was changed from My Products to Quantity Selection, which affected the subfield's names.

To rectify this issue, replace all instances of myProducts5 with quantitySelection in your PHP prepopulator page.

If done right, the visitor should be redirected to a prefilled form such as this example.

    Hope this helps!

    Hiya Neil,

I tried replacing myProducts5 with quantitySelection in your PHP prepopulator page. It did not work. So I tried switching it back to myProducts5 but it didn't work. Then I noticed I am suppose to be using myProducts instead of myProducts5. That allowed the First and Last name to be carried over but nothing else. Any ideas why the other fields have stopped prepopulating? Ideally I would like to use Quantity Selection.

    Spence,

The payment module's label was changed, yet again, to My Products. That is the reason why the solution I suggested previously does not work anymore.

Can you please use this site to paste your php codes (and post the URL here) so I can check for inconsistencies?

    Hi Neil,

Yes I left it as My Products but I could not get either one to work. I will go post the codes

So which label do you want to use really? Is it My Products or Quantity Selection?

In your previous response, you mentioned that quantitySelection worked for you. I wonder why that isn't the case now?

    Hi Neil,

The Quantity Selection would be the ideal choice. It worked partially but only transfered over the first and last name.

    Spence,

    Use this instead: http://pastie.org/4904735

By the way, to troubleshoot problems such as this, simply view your initial form's source codes then match the field names in your PHP page.

According to my findings, the shippingaddress was changed to shippingaddress4 that's why the address prepopulation did not work. I have applied the changes on the code I provided above to make it work.

    Hope this helps.
