Take Photo Widget: Not Working on Android Mobile App

    Using Samsung Galaxy Tablet. Forms are not allowing us to take a picture. We've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it still does not work. Every time we click the button to Take Photo, nothing happens.

    Hi jai687,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I understand that when using the Take Photo widget on the Android phone, it is not working. You can set your mobile device to allow to use the camera when using the app. Here's how to do it.

    1. On your Mobile Device, go to Settings.
    2. Tap on Privacy.
    3. Tap on Permission Manager.
    4. Tap on Camera.
    5. Tap on the Jotform App.
    6. Select Allow Only When Using App.

    This should allow the use of your camera while using the app.

    That was already done. Setting is already on Allow Only When Using App.

    Tried removing that option, then re-enabling it, still didn't work.

    Thanks for getting back to us. I tried replicating it and ran into the same issue using an Android with the latest version of the Jotform app. See my screencast below:

    Same thing is happening on Apple IPAD

    Thanks for getting back and letting us know that the issue is happens on Apple iPad as well. My colleague already raised your concern to our developer team to look in to it. I will go ahead and update this to developer team, so they can check for the Apple iPad as well.

    I have just submitted a support ticket too. This is happening to all our Ipad, Iphone devices and is a critical issue for us.

    I am concerned that Jotform wont address this issue in a timely manner.

    Thanks for your patience. We're sorry for any inconvenience caused. Our developers have addressed the issue with the app's new version [2.9.46]. Please update the app to fix the issue.

    In have a samsung tablet and I am having the same issues. Also geolocation is not working

    I installed again the app and now it works 👌
