Will this change or hinder my approval workflow of my forms? Current my forms are sent to the approver as an attachment. Will the approver need to follow a different process in order to approve my forms?

    Hello Rimma,

Thank you for reaching out to Jotform Support. Once you switch or enable HIPAA on your account, your forms and the data submitted to them will be automatically stored in encrypted databases and on servers that enable HIPAA compliance. These servers are separated from the internet using multiple levels of protection and firewalls. You can check out our guide here for commonly asked questions about HIPAA.

Also, there will be no change to your approval flow. However, only you, the form owner, are the only one who can view the information submitted to your forms. Additionally, you will need to turn on PHI (Protected Health Information) so approvers cannot view the fields. We have a guide here on how to turn on PHI for your fields.

Reach out again if there’s anything else we can help you with.
