How can I send an email to applicants after 7 days of their event date specified in their form?

    There is a field that requires them to enter a date for their event (question 10) – can we have an email automatically sent to them 7 days after the event date indicated in their form? This is the link of the form: https://www.jotform.com/233404936034149.

    Hi Surabhi,

    Thanks for contacting Jotform Support. Yes, let me walk you through how to do that.

    • In the Form Builder, go to the Form Elements panel on the left side of the page.
    • Add another Date Picker field. In my example, I called it “Sending Date”.
    • Now we need to create an Update/Calculate Field condition to calculate the sending date, so we’ll simply create the following condition:

    • Now, click Emails on the left panel.
    • In the Email section, hover your mouse over the Autoresponder Email and click the Pencil Icon.
    • Go to the Advanced tab.
    • Scroll down to send email later and select the new Date Picker field. In my example is the Sending Date field.

    It works! I didn't know 'Send Email Later' could pick up custom date. Thank you so much!

    I test this again on another form with a later date, it did not work.

    Hi Surabhi,

    Thanks for getting back to us. I can see that this is really stressful. Let me help you with this. I cloned and tested your form, but everything is working properly as it should, I received the Autoresponder email when I set the date 7 days from today. Here's a screenshot of my result:

    As a precaution, I have cleared your form's cache to refresh your forms, this normally fixes temporary issues. Can you try it again and see how it goes? If you run into the same issue again, let us know, and we'll do some more testing to see what's going on.

    I received the one I set today for 4/18, but I didn't receive the one I set y'day for 4/18.

    Does this has anything to do with it:

    I will test again for tomorrow's date. What time the autoresponder gets triggered? I heard at midnight, so the email should come by midnight.

    Hi Surabhi,

    Thanks for getting back to us. Normally, it is sent 12:00 AM EST, but if not it should arrive within the day. You can try to do a test submission, set the date to April 11, 2024, so it will trigger the email today.
