Square integration: account automatically disconnected

    Hi, we have had multiple issues with jotform disconnecting from our square payment processing. It's is frustrating to have to reconnect constantly of course. But is there at least a way for you to send us notifications when square gets dropped? I don't need troubleshooting, but realistically a permanent solution. A Google search is full of dozens of the same complaints going back as far as 2017. Will jotform continue to have connectivity issues with square?

    Hi FHAA,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I’m sorry you're having difficulties with this. As far as I know, the system will not automatically disconnect the account connected to the payment integration. If there is an update with the payment integration that requires you to reconnect the connected account, we normally send an email to notify you about it. Jotform will not automatically disconnect the account and will require users like you to reconnect and disconnect it. Here's a sample email that was sent to users when the Square integration was updated in January 2024.

    Please note that this type of notification will only get sent if there is an update. If your Square account is automatically disconnected from the integration, please try to use a different account as it might have something to do with the Square account and its permission. I would also suggest that you reach out to us if it happens again so we can check the form.

    Gotcha, it has happened to us several times, and this is not our first support ticket. We have never received a notification email. Is it possible for you to send notifications like these to a specified email?
