    Hi guys,

This form allows multiple bookings for groups.

How can I tailor the form to have the user select two seats on a boat.

    Or,

does the form need to filled out twice for one person each?

    Did I explain this correctly?

    thanks

    Hi Matthew,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, selecting multiple appointments in one form is not possible. But, you can accomplish this with a workaround. You can meet your requirements by adding a multiple-choice field and multiple hidden appointment fields. Then Show/Hide Field condition can be implemented to display an appointment field depending on the selected appointment. Let me walk you through the steps:

    • In the Form Builder, click on + Add Form Element.
    • Now, add the Multiple Choice element to your form and add appointment fields.

    • Next, add the number of Appointment fields you wish to add.
    • Now, click on Settings and click on Conditions on the left panel.
    • Next, click on the Show/Hide field condition.
    • Then, add and edit Show/Hide field conditions as your multiple choice question has.

That's it. Give it a try and let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I don't think we are on the same thought here.

Is it possible to have the user select a number from a dropdown. For example - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 then that number would be taken off the total number of the maximum attendees per time slot.

So, its not actually making multiple appointments it's just taking up a higher number than 1 according to user selection.

So, imagine a family is attending a trip. Dad chooses 4 for his wife and 2 kids and then 4 spots are taken from the maximum attendees per time slot which I have set to 17.

Are you saying this is not possible?

    Hi RMarineCrawley,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now. Currently, only one slot can be subtracted from the available slot for each submission.

We've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers, but when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

In the meantime, you  can use the Quantity Gift Registry widget and list each slot as an item. This widget enables users to set multiple quantities to different items. Here's an example of how it works:

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.

    Thanks for escalating the request.

in the meantime, I’m interested in learning more about how the quantity gift registry works.

    it does look promising.

do you think it could be incorporated and used with the calendar with conditions or is this just way too complicated and consuming to think about?

im trying to think about it …

or, I just have to monitor the requests very closely and update them as I get the form bookings?

    Hello RMarineCrawley,

Thanks for getting back to us. Currently, the widget can only be incorporated with limited conditions. Can you tell us more about what you are trying to achieve so we can check if it is possible?

After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.

Im trying to acheive this form.
    https://form.jotform.com/240928137558869

a user uses the form to take 4 spots on a boat ride out of the 17 spots.

somehow I need to count this down so that people don’t overbook.

if you look at the form you’ll see the times they can choose for either one way or return.

    Hi RMarineCrawley,,

Thanks for getting back to us. I suggest utilizing the Quantity Gift Registry widget. This feature allows you to automatically mark off items on your registry. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder page, select Build located at the top orange menu bar.
    2. Click on Add Form Elements to you left, under the widget tab select and drag Quantity Gift Registry. Appointment field: Ability to select multiple slots in the field Screenshot 60
    3. Now, select on Widget Settings(Wand Icon).
    4. Lets add now the Available Slots and Time. Appointment field: Ability to select multiple slots in the field Screenshot 71

Let's proceed by adding the Show/Hide Fields Conditional Logic.

    1. In Form Builder page, select Settings located at the top orange menu bar.
    2. Navigate to the left and select Conditions, then select Add Conditions. Appointment field: Ability to select multiple slots in the field Screenshot 82
    3. Now, select Show/Hide Fields then add the two conditions illustrated below.
    4. Lastly, Click on Save on both Conditions. Appointment field: Ability to select multiple slots in the field Screenshot 93Appointment field: Ability to select multiple slots in the field Screenshot 104

Feel free to check my clone version here.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Thank you. I've had a go at the quantity gift registry. I wonder how you monitor the data for the countdown?

I'm now trying to use the product widget to accomplish what I need.

Ultimately, a user would be presented with a choice:

    • Point A to B single journey
    • Point B to A single Journey
    • Return journey

    1. Select option: Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday
    2. Select option: Times daily, 8.30am, 10.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm, 4.30pm
    3. Select option: Number of people for that time
    4. This will be a free boat shuttle service over a four-day period
    5. The stock control is for 17 seats per trip or per time, essentially.

I'm doing my best to configure this on this form https://form.jotform.com/241078975204864
using products, options, categories and stock control.

Do you think this would be achievable? If you are able to help I would be so grateful or is this far too complex for jotform do you think?

    thank you.
