Is there a way to have an image in the question description for a long/ short text/ multiple choice question? For example, I would like to show a screenshot of something to a survey taker as they are filling out a particular question.

I don't think it is possible with Card Forms.
However you can do this when using the "Old Layout" or "All Questions in One page." via custom CSS.

Ok thank you for the response.
I think this feature would be very useful for users utilizing the Card Form layout. It is available in other survey platforms and allows for an easier user experience when someone is completing the form.

I've seen this somewhere too. Let me escalate this thread to our backend team as a feature request. Unfortunately, we cannot give you an estimate as to when this feature will get implemented or if our developers will consider adding them in the future, but as soon as we have an update, we will let you know through this thread.
In the meantime, you may consider putting the link of the image in the description area. You can use a URL shortener such as https://goo.gl/ to shorten the link.
