    My Google+ form is wacky!

    Asked by Tellmemore on October 18, 2012 at 09:43 PM

    Why is my Google+ form taking me backwards after filling in the username/password, instead of moving forward to sign in to Google Plus 1 and then publicly recommending/sharing the site?  Try if for yourself to see what I mean.

    The image file you used in the form contains a link to google + plugin. If you click the image, the link will be triggered and it will automatically close the window. The link was meant to have the user login to google account which do work. When you logged in, the login window simply closes and display the form again.

    If you can provide us more details on what you are trying to achieve, we can assist you along the way. And, in case you haven't check JotForm's guide on how to add form to google sites, you can check it from this link.

    It's meant to be the Google+ button for sharing sites.  Like this site here, for example - http://articles.latimes.com/1993-03-18/news/ol-12397_1_marty-cohen

    See the Google+ button; clicking it allows one to sign in to Google and then publicly recommend the site.  That's what my button/form is supposed to do; or, it's what I want it to do.  Thanks!

    Darn! Jotform is posting me as a guest even though I signed in.  I'll try signing in again.

    Actually you have the wrong settings, you are using the image tool and link the image to your Google+ login account.

    Your settings should like this: http://www.jotform.com/form/22921715284959

    This is the codes:

    <a target="_blank" href="https://plus.google.com/share?url=http://form.jotform.us/form/22918156868164" rel="nofollow noopener" rel="nofollow" >

    <img src="//www.jotform.com/uploads/Tellmemore/form_files/google_.jpg" alt="Google+" title="Google+"/>

    You should use the FREE Text HTML field and enter the codes into the box. Do not use the black HTML button on the toolbar. Just enter the codes when you hit "edit htm" button in orange color.

    Hope this helps. Thanks

    Thank you for your reply!  I was hoping for just a simple clickable image because that is the only way it will work on my Google site sidebar & footer.

    But I can do a work-around with the html Jotform form by using the Joftform link to the form on the image, which will open a 2nd browser window, and then the user will have to click on the new image to complete the Google+ process.  You may see it in action on my site...the side bar and/or the footer.

    Oops, actually, it's not quite right yet.  It's not sharing my website, it's sharing my Jotform.  Where do I input my website in the code?
