    Hello,

Here are my steps with corresponding images:

    1. I enter details in my form with project name "Another Test" and click on Upload Files to Dropbox - works great
    2. Dropbox request opens up and I upload Chapter 3.zip - works great
    3. A folder is created but Chapter 3.zip is not placed in the folder but outside of it - not working great
    4. Please review my Dropbox Integration setup. I think I have set it up correctly.

Question: How can the folder "Chapter 3.zip" be placed inside the folder 2024-04-18 12_51_31 - Another Test

    Hello fraservalleyvirtual,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. The Upload Files to Dropbox button on your form is an image inside a Paragraph element that's connected to a link that leads to the Dropbox File Request page. I recommend contacting Dropbox for help with the File Request Link to make sure that files uploaded through it are stored in the correct folder.

On the other hand, since you already have a Dropbox integration, I suggest using the File Upload element instead, then enabling "Send uploaded fields to Dropbox" in the integration settings for the uploaded files to be stored in the same folder where the generated PDFs are, here's how to set that up:

    1. Drag and drop the File Upload field to the form. Files not going in Dropbox Folder Image 1 Screenshot 50
    2. Go to the Settings tab of the Form Builder.
    3. Select Integrations frorm the left panel.
    4. Click on the Dropbox integration. Files not going in Dropbox Folder Image 2 Screenshot 61
    5. Hover over the Send Files bar.
    6. Click on the Pencil icon. Files not going in Dropbox Folder Image 3 Screenshot 72
    7. Select the File Upload field from the Send uploaded fields to Dropbox section.
    8. Click Save.Files not going in Dropbox Folder Image 4 Screenshot 83

Give it a try, and let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hi fraservalleyvirtual,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I checked your form on my end and it seems that you have added an external link that will allow your users to upload the files. Unfortunately, we could not add the uploaded file inside the created folder for each submission as this is an external upload made by the user. You need to add a File Upload field on your form and have the file uploaded. See the image attached:

After that, edit the integration setup and add the File Upload field on the Send uploaded fields to Dropbox option so it will be uploaded in the same folder.

I tested this on my cloned form and it seems to work properly. See the image attached:

Thank you Jovanne and Christian for the prompt response.

The problem with both of your suggestions is the limit on file size with "File Upload" field. We're a real estate photography company and image file sizes are 2GB, so having a max file size of 10.6MB won't work. That is why we went with the external link.

Do you have any other suggestions?

    Hello fraservalleyvirtual,

Thanks for getting back to us. You can increase the Maximum File Upload size in the File Upload element. Let me show you how:

    1. Add a File Upload element to your form or select an existing one.
    2. Click the Gear icon to open File Upload Properties.
    3. Under the Options tab, toggle Limit File Size to the On position.
    4. Now, set the minimum and maximum file size limit (in KB) to what you want it to be, and that's it. You're done. The maximum individual file size allowed in Jotform is 1GB (1048576 KB).

As mentioned by my colleague, Unfortunately, only the file upload field is compatible with the integration.I've submitted a feature request to increase the limit of the file size that can be uploaded in the file upload field but when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
