Newer dates can still be selected from the Date of Birth field even though I set up a date range

I've got a field which records date of birth. I've got it so it can only go up to 2012, however I am still receiving entries where people are putting their date of birth year as 2024.

Have I set this up incorrectly?

Thanks for reaching out to us for help. I checked your form and I found that the Birth Date field isn't set up correctly. The 'Year To' date is correct since you don't want any submissions for dates after 2012. But, you haven't set a 'Year From' date to complete the date range. Fixing that is easy. Let me show you how:

• In Form Builder, click on the Birth Date field and then click on the Gear icon.
• In the General tab of the Panel on the right, navigate to the Year From date and enter the year for form fillers to select from. In my example, I'm adding 1900.

That's it. Now when form fillers can only select between 1900 and 2012. Check out the screencast below to see my results:
