Can I enable HIPPA as needed for specific forms?

Currently, none of the data I am collected through forms is covered by HIPPA, but I anticipate some future form data being covered by HIPPA. What setting(s) do I need to change to be able to enable HIPPA protection when I need, and not have to turn it off for every form that doesn't need it?

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Once you enable HIPAA Compliance to your account, all the forms under your account will also be HIPAA-compliant. For you to enable the HIPAA Compliance, here's how to do it:

    1. Go to your account’s Data page.
    2. In the Data page, click on the Enable HIPAA Compliance button. Can I enable HIPPA as needed for specific forms? Image 1 Screenshot 90
    3. In the HIPAA Compliance Features Setup Wizard, make sure that you are under the Gold plan or Enterprise plan. If not, you are advised to upgrade your plan. Can I enable HIPPA as needed for specific forms? Image 2 Screenshot 101

I don't think you read my question at all.

I don't want all of my forms to be on a HIPAA server. I currently don't have any that need to be there, which is why I haven't enabled HIPPA protection yet.

I currently have a Gold membership so, in the future, when I have forms that need to be HIPPA compliant, I have that capability, but JOTFORM is currently trying to force me to migrate my forms to a HIPPA compliant server, when they don't need to be.

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, there's no way to enable HIPAA for individual forms only. Once you enable HIPAA, your account along with the forms and submission data will be moved to the HIPAA server as one of the requirement for HIPAA compliance.

While on HIPAA, you have the option to turn off the PHI (protected health information). This will disable the HIPAA protection and display the data in the Notification or Autoresponder email. The image below shows the PHI is off for the fields Age and Interest, while the others are hidden.
