PDF Not Attached to Submission Emails

    For the last 24 hours, we have been receiving our usual notification emails but none of them have a pdf attached to them. Ideas to troubleshoot?

    Hi mission2organize,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support.I reviewed most of your forms, and they all return an error indicating that an attached document is missing. Did you delete the PDF document that was previously attached to them?

    If you still have the file in your PDF editor. You can choose it again in your emails. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
    2. In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Emails.
    3. On the right side of the Notification field, click on the Pencil icon.
    4. Go to Advanced tab.
    5. Under the Attach PDF select the correct PDF document and click Save.

    I think I figured out why. I recently deleted a field from several of our forms. When I went in and opened up the pdf editor, it asked me if I wanted to update the pdf. Of course I do! Is there a way to make the pdf auto-update when I make changes to the form so I don't have to do it manually?

    Hi mission2organize,

    Thanks for getting back to us. Unfortunately, the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now. Once you make any changes to the form, you must manually update the PDF document.

    If it is not updated, the fields that you recently added won't be included in the PDF Document and they will be missing on the attached PDF Document.

    So I updated the pdf and also checked the email notification settings. Everything looks good there but I am still not getting the pdf attached to the submission notification email. Do you have any other ideas?

    Can you allow us to do some test submissions on your form so we can get a better idea of what is happening?

    Today, the pdfs are coming along with the submission notification emails! yay
