    Hi Shirl,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. If you're trying to create a custom form field on your Smart PDF form, it's easy. Let me walk you through the steps:

    1. In PDF Editor, click the Add Element button.
    2. Now, under the Basic Elements, drag/drop the Text element to the document. How to add a custom form field? Image 1 Screenshot 30
    3. Next, start writing your content and format it. You can add tables, images, etc. Click the Form Fields option in the Text editor to add your form’s answers. Here’s a short GIF of that process.

    4. Click the Save button to save the changes.

That's it. If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?

Give it a try and let us know if you have any other questions.
