Approval Flow: How to return the form to form fillers for them to edit their submission?

If a client submits a form that needs to be returned to correct submission errors. Is there a way to return the form to the client to make the edit. How does this work if you have an approval workflow in place?

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. You can add an Outcome in your Approval Flow and an Email element containing an Edit Link to achieve that. Let me show you how:

1. In Approval Flow, hover your mouse over the Approval element and click the Gear icon.
2. Under the General tab, click on Add new outcome and label the outcome.
3. Next, click on Add Element on the left side and drag the Email element in the Approval Flow.
4. Connect the Approval element to the new Email element and select the new Outcome.
5. Next, you need to edit the content of the email. Click the new Email element and click the Envelop icon.
6. Edit the email content you prefer. Highlight and hyperlink a word that directs your user to edit their submissions by clicking the Hyperlink icon.
7. Enter this link https://www.jotform.com/edit/{id} in the URL box and click on Ok.
8. Then click on Save.

When you click the new outcome in your inbox, your form filler will receive an email like the screenshot below:

Once they submit the form again, it will restart the Approval Flow. Make sure that the Restart Approval Flow On Submission Edit is enabled. Here's how to do that:

1. In Approval Flow, click on Settings in the green navigation bar at the top.
2. Select Enabled in the Restart Approval Flow On Submission Edit dropdown.
