    Hi daprinceolaolex06,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to allow one selection per column in the Input Table. It will only allow you to have one selection per row.

While the feature you’re looking for isn’t currently available, rest assured we’re always working to add new services and features to Jotform. I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developers. When or if it's implemented depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Reach out again if you have any other questions.

Hi, can you check again, I better got a way, once Q12A is selected, the selected option is condictionally displayed in Q12B, I've hided the options in Q12B, then set when Q12A is equal to an option, it shows in Q12B, but how I designed the Q12B is by using multiple selection field (all options not in one field).

Now I want only one option to be selectable in Q12B page, or if u can find me a better way to pipe in selected options in Q12A into page Q12B (then in Q12B, only one option is selectable, all options selected in Q12A, shows in Q12B making only one selectable)

    Hi daprinceolaolex06,

I checked your form and I can't seem to find Q28 or Q12B. Can you please share the form URL of the form you're working on for us to t check? Also, if you're using checkbox, you can limit the entries to 1. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form builder, click your checkbox field and click on gear icon.
    2. In Multiple Choice Properties, click on Surveying tab.
    3. Then, in Entry Limits set maximum to 1.

After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.

    Hi daprinceolaolex06,

Can you try enabling Entry limits in your checkbox by following my instructions above? This would limit the number of selections. Check out this screenshot of my test:

Give it a try and let us know if this works for you.

hi, this is not entry limit issue, please check Q28.B on the form, I need user to be able to select only one element in a page, alternatively, check the image to be able to understand what im trying to do

i need to show only selected options from previous page 28a (they select all things they like from 28a) in new page 28b, then i need to make user select only one (that they like the most) in 28b.

selected options from previous page should show as options of next page, now max selection of one in next page

    Hi daprinceolaolex06,

Since the 28 B items are hidden, you can create a condition to show the hidden options. Here is a sample condition:

Input Table: Option to allow one selection per column Image 1 Screenshot 40

    Here is the result:

    I chose an option in 28 A:

Input Table: Option to allow one selection per column Image 2 Screenshot 51

Here is the result in 28 B:

Input Table: Option to allow one selection per column Image 3 Screenshot 62

Let us know if this works for you.

Now, if two options are selected in 28A, and I need only one option to be selcted in 28B, do that for me.

I'll really love if this can be transferred to your partner Christopher, been helping me well lately, new responses I'm getting are just what I've done already, despite re explaining the questions.

    Hi daprinceolaolex06,

Thanks for getting back to us. Currently, Christopher is unavailable and we are unable to assign this thread to him. In this case, you need to manually add each condition to show each checkbox depending on the selection on the 28A. For example, the user selects 'Electricity Bill goes up', the condition you need to add is shown below:

Input Table: Option to allow one selection per column Image 1 Screenshot 60

This means that if the responder selects Vehicles performance (power, acceleration, etc.) is poor and Electricity costs is high, they will get this result:

Input Table: Option to allow one selection per column Image 2 Screenshot 71

Then set up another condition to disable all other check boxes in page 29 if any of the options is selected. For example, if the responder selects Vehicles performance (power, acceleration, etc.) is poor, they won't be able to select another check box. Let me show you how:

    1. On the Form Builder page, click on the Settings tab on the orange navigation bar at the top.
    2. Go to the Conditions page and then click Add New Condition.
    3. Select Enable/Require/Mask Field from the options.

Input Table: Option to allow one selection per column Image 3 Screenshot 82

Set up the condition following the concept below:

Input Table: Option to allow one selection per column Image 4 Screenshot 93

    Result:

Input Table: Option to allow one selection per column Image 5 Screenshot 104

Give it a try and reach out to us again if you have more questions.
