How to prevent Notification Emails for edited entries?

    Hello,

I have created a permission slip that multiple different presenters will use. I have set it up using the "Get Form Page URL Widget" so that the presenter can fill out the first part of the form (what the workshop is about) and then send it out to parents so they can fill out their section (giving permission for their children to attend).

I've got everything working well except for the final notification/autoresponder. I've got the right things going to the right people after the first person submits. However, once the participant fills out the second portion - the notification is only coming to me. Is there a way that I can set it up to go to the presenter instead? It'll be lots of different people and it will change frequently, so I can't enter all their email addresses. Can I have it go to one of the email fields in the form the way that I can for autoresponders?

    Hello Lindsay,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm assuming the presenters you're referring to are the ones to fill out the Counselor-related fields. Your form already has an Autoresponder Email that sends an email to the counselor after the form is submitted, let me walk you through how to also trigger the same email(with the participant's data) after the participants re-submit the form:

    1. Go to the Settings tab of the Form Builder.
    2. Select Email from the left panel.
    3. Hover your mouse over the Autoresponder 3 email.
    4. Click on the Gear icon. How to prevent Notification Emails for edited entries? Image 1 Screenshot 50
    5. Go to the Advanced tab.
    6. Check the When a submission is edited checkbox.
    7. Click the Save button at the bottom. How to prevent Notification Emails for edited entries? Image 2 Screenshot 61

After following the steps above, the counselor-dedicated Autoresponder Email will be triggered when they fill submit the form, and after the participants submit the form. Now, if you don't want to receive a Notification Email after the participants' submissions, let me show you how to do that:

    1. Go to the Settings tab of the Form Builder.
    2. Select Email from the left panel.
    3. Hover your mouse over the Notification 1 email.
    4. Click on the Gear icon. How to prevent Notification Emails for edited entries? Image 3 Screenshot 72
    5. Go to the Advanced tab.
    6. Uncheck the When a submission is edited checkbox.
    7. Click the Save button at the bottom. How to prevent Notification Emails for edited entries? Image 4 Screenshot 83

Let us know if you need any more help.
