How do I require input into one of two fields?

Asked by Brighter454 on October 29, 2012 at 06:24 PM

I have a form that I am creating for a Groupon promotion. The form asks for a Voucher code or the upload of the Voucher PDF file. I need one or the other, but not both.  Is it possible to make one field required if the other field is blank?

The best way to go about this is to set both fields as required, then add a selector field (i.e., radio button or drop down) to give them the option of which voucher type to use.

Apply a condition to your form so that the corresponding voucher type field will be displayed depending on their selection.

Here's a demo of this solution:

Feel free to clone it to your account to inspect how the conditions were used to achieve your requirement.
