We have a submission table called "PERSONAL SECURITIES TRANSACTION REQUEST." Is the approver to this able to back into the table after the fact and add additional notes to a transaction?

If yes, how do we do that?

    Hi CPWA,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Yes, it is possible to let your approver add notes/comments in the Jotform Table. You need to share the Table with them and assign a Role. Here's how to do that:

    1. On the Jotform Tables page, click on the Share button.

    2. Click on Share Settings and select Private Table, so only people you invite will be able to see your Tables. You can also set the default role of the invitation link as Commenter or Collaborator. Let me explain the difference between those:

    • Commenter means that only people you invite will be able to see and add a comment to your Tables.
    • Collaborator means that anyone you invite will be able to see and edit the data, but they won't be able to adjust or change the table settings.

    3. Now, use the Generated Link or the Invite by Email feature to invite people.

Your approver will receive an email like the screenshot below. They need to click on the View Table button:

Here's how they can add notes/comments in Tables:

    1. In Tables, select a cell where you want to add a comment and click on the Add Comment button at the top. Jotform Table: How to let approver add a comment in tables? Image 3 Screenshot 62

That's it. Let us know if you have any other questions.
