Power Automate error message The input parameter(s) of action 'Initialize_variable' contain an invalid reference to 'HTTP'

Hi there. I'm following this thread: How to upload the files in a submission to Sharepoint through Power Automate? (jotform.com)

and tunning into an issue. It appears Microsoft has removed the "headers" portion within their code:Power Automate error message The input parameter(s) of action Initialize variable contain an invalid reference to HTTP Image 1 Screenshot 20

This is on the new designer but I have also (and initially) tried it on the classic power automate. If I paste or manually type the entire line of code, it errors out and won't let me save with the following error:

The input parameter(s) of action 'Initialize_variable' contain an invalid reference to 'HTTP'. Correct to include a valid reference to 'HTTP' for the input parameter(s) of action 'Initialize_variable'.

Any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

    Regards,

    -Derek

    Hi Derek,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I have tested Power Automate on my end, and I was unable to replicate the issue as shown in the screenshot.

Power Automate error message The input parameter(s) of action Initialize variable contain an invalid reference to HTTP Image 1 Screenshot 20

Could you try completing your Flow before clicking on the Save button? As you can see from my screenshot, there is an ending button which creates a file in Google Drive.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

I believe I discovered my primary issue - which was that we were using a widget for file uploads. I transitioned the form to use the standard uploader and am still having the same issue.

In the instructions - it states to use "Your File Upload Field" for the first HTTP Get. I have tried both - but to confirm that is the actual upload field and not the calculated value?

Well after doing a little more sleuthing - someone on another forum had mentioned that error in power automate meant something had been misreferenced in his example. I attempted to follow the steps provided from scratch and it's working. Thank you!

I guess I spoke too soon. While recreating did allow me to save - I'm getting an error that URI is not sanitized (see attached)

Power Automate error message The input parameter(s) of action Initialize variable contain an invalid reference to HTTP Image 1 Screenshot 20

I understand that it is to be the upload field itself and not the calculated field. This is coming up upload field based on the first http get command.

    Please advise :)

    Hi Derek,

Thanks for getting back to us. As I understand, you created the integration from scratch following another workaround, not this one. Depending on the age of the thread, the workaround may stop working due to timely updates on both ends of the integration. But to be sure, can you point us to the thread that you followed where you encountered the URL not sanitized error? We'll try to replicate the same flow/scenario on our end to test.

After we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you more with this.
