Approval Workflow feature request to include the approval status in Google Sheet integration.

Hello! It looks like there is not a direct way to have approval status autofill into the integrated Google sheet. Searching the forums this question has been asked many times! Is there any way that JotForm can add this feature? I saw a workaround but it would require 2 steps by the approver - to submit the approval, and then go back to edit the form and select approved again. This reduces some of the automation that we are looking for.

    Hi Loriann,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Our integration is triggered by the Submit button alone. This is the reason that when a submission is approved or denied, it will not update or record the status in the Google Sheet.

While the feature you’re looking for isn’t currently available, rest assured we’re always working to add new services and features to Jotform. I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developers. When or if it's implemented depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

I keep running into roadblocks trying to set up what should be a relatively simple approval process! I found a workaround to use {edit_link} so that the reviewer can edit and mark approved or denied (on hidden questions that show when they select edit) and that can notify the team member and autofill to googlesheets. HOWEVER, with my basic account I cannot do conditions to send to multiple emails (to the various leads), and with my HIPAA compliant account I can send to multiple emails but the {edit_link} function doesn't work for the lead to edit the form due to HIPAA restrictions!

On the HIPAA compliant version is there any way to turn off HIPAA for a single form, so that {edit_link} will work?
