    Lab Problem

    Asked by guest_23046762520044 on October 31, 2012 at 05:01 PM

    Hi,

    We have a problem where we send samples to a lab and they dont send all the results back. Can we use your service somehow to fill out forms, send the forms to the lab with instructions on what to do, and have them send results back, but only if all the results are included?

    Thanks

    Hi

    What you can do is set each of the form's fields that must be completed to Required. Once a field is set to Required any attempt at submission without completing that field will be halted. To set a field to Required, click it, click the Required button and save the form.

    Please let us know if this would this be a viable solution for your situation.

    Thanks for the response. Does Jotform actually host the form?

    Yes, that is correct. All of the form's you create are physically hosted by JotForm but they can be embedded within your website to show the form using one of our  Embed Codes that have been provided.

    You can download the full source code and upload it to your web space usually this is done via FTP connection. You will have to get in touch with your hosting company to get the FTP informaton. As long as the action script url in the form points to the submit script in JotForm the submissions will be stored within your JotForm account.

    Below is an example of how JotForm action url looks like:

    <form class="jotform-form" action="http://jotform.com/submit.php" method="post">

    To download the full source codes of your form:

    1.  Go to Setup & Embed
    2.  Click the Embed Form button
    3.  Choose Source
    4.  Click the link that says "here"

    The submit action script is not included in the download of the full source code as this is hard coded within our server. If you are planning to have  full control on how the submit action works you will need to create your own submit script and host it on your server. When you do this the submissions will not be stored on JotForm's server.

    Cheers!

    @rohitalex69

    Re-embedding your form using iframe embed code should fixed it. Here's How to get your Form's Iframe Code.

    If the problem still persist, please open a new thread and provide more details about the issue so we can further assist you. Thanks!
