How do you pre-populate from a text field onto the Free Text (HTML)Asked by landregsearches on November 02, 2012 at 11:39 AM
How do you pre-populate from a text field onto the Free Text (HTML)
My users enter there details on a form, then I want to use these details on the same form on the free text html powertool. How do I do this?
Thanks in advance.
pre-populate free text html text field
Unfortunately, this feature is not currently available.
You can pass values to prepopulate fields from one form to another through the URL (can not prepopulate Free Text HTML fields this way). However, we currently can not have one field prepopulate another field on the same form.
With that said, there is a woraround for this. Here is a guide that can help you in case you wanted to venture into it.
Take a look and let us know if this helps!
Thanks for letting me know wish itcould be done though.
I have loked through the link you gave above and looks a little too complicated for me.
Does anyone know if this request is now possible?
Is it possible to have the Free Text editor prepopulated from another field on the same page.
There is a text field with with a number in it, say "504"
below the text field there is the Free Text Editor in it would be the same number
For my use I using the Calculate fields widget and i would like to take the calculated number
and place it in the Free Text editor so that I can Edit to my liking. I would also have the original calculated field hidden, so the calculated number only shows up in the Free Text field that way that I want.
No, sorry this is not possible. For security reasons, I don't think we can implement this.
Sorry about that.
