Reflect the Approval Flow in the ClickUp integration

I have it set up for manager and CMO approval on the Jotform side, is there a way for the approvals/denials to be reflected in CLickUp real-time?

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, the Approval Flow can't be connected to the ClickUp integration. As soon as a submission is sent, it will be added to your ClickUp regardless of whether it will be approved or denied. Can you tell us more about wat you're trying to achieve? We can try to find other ways or workarounds to achieve that.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help.

Hi, thanks! Yes, when an employee submits a request, we need it to be approved by both their manager and the marketing manager before the designer can do the project. Having that housed in our project management tool (ClickUp) would greatly help us keep things smooth (and save me the time of having to monitor Jotform for each update). If that's not an option, I would love any suggestions you have!

    Hello Michael,

Thanks for your patience. Please note that integration will always be triggered regardless of the Approval Workflow's status. I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developer Team. When or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Thanks for your patience, we appreciate it.

Great, thank you for that update. Do you have any other ideas or workarounds that I might be able to use while that is being worked on from your end?

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for getting back to us. While the direct integration of Jotform’s Approval Workflow with ClickUp isn't available yet, as a workaround, you can use a third-party automation service like Zapier to create a bridge between Jotform and ClickUp. With Zapier, you can set up a “Zap” that triggers when a new submission is approved on Jotform, and then creates a task in ClickUp. This way, only approved submissions would generate tasks in ClickUp. Let me show you how to integrate Zapier into your form:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
    2. In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Integrations.
    3. Enter Zapier in the Search bar.
    4. Click on Authorize.
    5. Next, choose the Zapier you want to use. That will open the Configure Your Zap window.
    6. Click on the Edit button for the Action you want to do, sign into your Microsoft account, and then click on Continue.

After signing in to your Microsoft account, complete each step on your Zap and follow the Zapier directions. That’s it.

Zapier support page has a guide on how to Create ClickUp tasks for new submissions in Jotform that you can check out.

Reach out again if you need any other help.
