when using a form with muse, is server side coding needed?

Asked by guest_23096621933051 on November 05, 2012 at 05:28 PM

I understand how to insert the html code into MUSE for the form created by jot form. I was wondering if I need to make settings on the server side where I host my website? Or does jot form server re-route to any email?

I have not created a jotform yet, because I wanted to be sure I can add a form and have it work in muse, without writing code on the back server. If I need to write code or create some settings are there tutorials for this?

    Hi Ben,

There is no need to write anything or change anything on your webhost/server. All back-end action (data collection and processing, email alert delivery, report generation) happens on our servers.

If there's one thing, then that would only be adding our mail server IP addreses to your webhost's whitelist to ensure that all email alerts are accepted by your host.

By the way, if you run into any difficulties with our JotForm to Muse tutorial, please do not hesitate to ask us for help.

Great!, I will give it a try after I update a few things on my website. I will then post a reply for others.

    Thank you,
