Hi, we have a registration form for a family reunion and trying to get a "$Total" field on there that's based on on how many are being registered based on their age. How can I accomplish this. I tried a few things using the help, but no 1 item seemed to work. Please help. Thank you for any and all help

    Hi lmnewson02,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I cloned your form and I see that you already have a calculation widget added but the formula to achieve the total is incomplete. Here's the correct formula to add based on how I understand your description:

Let me show you how to add that formula:

    • Click on the Wand icon to open the formula window again.
    • Add the $ sign as a string at the beginning.
    • Add the multiplication sign between the number of adults field and the value of 100.

    • Add parenthesis before the number of adults field and after the value 100.
    • Add a multiplication sign between a number of children and the value of 50.
    • Add Parenthesis between them as well.

I was hoping we could base the calculation from the "Configurable List" selections. I ended up going with the "Product List" element as it can do calculations. Does this sound right?

    Hi lmnewson02,

Thanks for getting back to us. I checked your form and I see that the Product List is added and in my opinion, it would work perfectly with what you're trying to achieve on your form.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help.

Is there a way to add a receipt number or something like that to the form that they can see and gets recorded when they hit submit?

    Hi lmnewson02,

Thanks for getting back to us. You can display the Submission ID in the Thank You Page. The Submission is a unique set of numbers that's generated upon completion of the form. Check the steps and screenshot below on how to display the submission ID in the Thank You Page.

    1. In Form Builder, click on Settings and choose Thank You Page.
    2. Click on the Gear icon and go to the Fields tab.
    3. Then, click on the position you want the Submission ID to appear and choose Submission ID.
