How can I add different slots on weekends?

    Hi,

I've built a form to allow volunteers to sign up to work shifts at our gallery. We have one time spot for each of our 2 daily shifts on Weekdays, but on weekends we have 2 or 3 shifts available. How can I accomodate this? My form is attached.

    Thanks, Whitney

    Hi Whitney,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Yes, you can easily specify different times on different weekends using the Interval section of the appointment field settings. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Gear icon on the right side of the appointment to open Appointment Properties
    2. In the Appointment Properties window, click on the Availability tab.
    3. Click on Add Intervals to add appointments for the weekend only.

    Hi,

I don't think you understood my question. I understand that different times can be set up for weekends vs weekdays, etc. But, I want to have multiple "shifts" available on weekends vs weekdays. For example, one weekdays we just have one staffer from 2-6pm. But on the weekend, we would like to have 3 staffers, so 3 available "slots" for the 2-6 timeframe on a specific day. Can that be done?

    Thanks!

    Hi Whitney,

Thanks for getting back to us. Unfortunately, scheduling multiple appointments at once is not currently available. As a workaround, you can add a multiple-choice field and multiple hidden appointment fields. Then, you can implement a Show/Hide Field condition to display an appointment field depending on the selected appointment. Let me show you how:

    1. Go to your Form Builder and please click on the + Add Form Element in the top left corner.
    2. Add the Multiple Choice field to your form and make the necessary changes.
    3. Add as many appointment fields as multiple-choice question options. How can I add different slots on weekends? Image 1 Screenshot 70
    4. Go to the Settings tab and click the Conditions.
    5. Click the Show/Hide field option.
    6. You would need to hide the Appointment field first and then apply the following conditions below:How can I add different slots on weekends? Image 2 Screenshot 81
    7. Add as many Show/Hide Field conditions as your multiple-choice question contains. How can I add different slots on weekends? Image 3 Screenshot 92How can I add different slots on weekends? Image 4 Screenshot 103

Check out my screencast to see the results:

My demo form is  here for you to check out. Please note that this workaround may not function properly if you need users to be able to arrange back-to-back appointments, as they would have to resubmit the form for each consecutive appointment.

Give it a try, and let us know how it goes.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply, but I still don't think this answers my question. This solution seems to allow someone to book multiple appointments. What I am trying to do is have multiple "shifts" available for some timeslots. For example, on Tuesday from 2-6pm we would have one available time slot and once it is taken, it disappears from the list because it is no longer available. What I want to do is to be able to specify that on a Saturday 2-6pm shift we need three staffers, so up to three people can select that time slot. I see that under the Advanced Tab, there is an option to set One-on-one or Group, but this appears to apply to the entire form, not a specific date/timeslot. And if I choose Group, the minimum is 2, so that won't help me for the timeslots where I need to have just one slot available.

Is there any way to do what I am trying to set up?

    Hi Whitney,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Can you confirm if this is a fixed day on weekends and weekdays or if it varies every week?

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with a solution.
