Email notification on form submit doesn't work if you have Paypal products attached

Asked by pixl8it on February 23, 2011 at 04:56 AM

I just created a form with the integrated Paypal multi-product option. The form works great and sends me an email notification as long as I don't check one of the product boxes.

If I select a product I'm re-directed, like I'm supposed to be to Paypal, but I do not receive an email about the form submission.

    Any ideas, or fixes?

Emails are sent only after the payment is successful.

We had it that way before, and many people were not happy about it. Sending the emails before the payment is completed caused people to get confused. They had to check the PayPal payments to make sure the person really completed the order before processing it. That's why we had to it change it that. Unfortunately, I think we will have to keep it this way because the amount of requests to enable the emails before the payment is much much less compare to amount of complaint we received previously.

One possible solution is to check your Pending submissions periodically. You can find the uncompleted payments there.

We are also considering sending emails with a PENDING prefix. That's something we have in our todo list.
