    Hi there,

Someone who filled out one of our JotForms has given feedback that the "Are you a human" verification at the end of our JotForm is not working (see image attached). They accessed the JotForm from a Google Sites page.

I checked our questions flow and didn't see an option selected to have this verification enabled, so I'm wondering where it came from. I'm also wondering if this is something I can fix or if this is a bug beyond my control?

    Please advise.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi Merial,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. The Captcha or Human Verification will appear when the form receives too many submissions or if the submissions being received in a short period are coming from the same user or IP address. It's a security measure in place to prevent spam submissions. To prevent the system from triggering the Captcha or Human Verification, they can submit less than 60 submissions per minute.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any other help.

Thanks Angeli! Can you clarify how many submissions is too many submissions? Is that in general, or specifically within a short time period? Or both? I believe this person only tried submitted one Jotform today.

Is the action point just to give it a few hours then trying to submit again?

    Thank you so much!

    Hi Merial,

Thanks for getting back to us. There's no fix number of submissions when Captcha appears on your form. But, it is asked when we detect unusual traffic from an IP. To fix this, you can wait for around 10–20 minutes before submitting the form again. You can also try refreshing your internet connection, and possibly get a different IP Address. Or, we can whitelist your account to remove the captcha, but this is only available to our paid plan users.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
