Hi Tania,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. You can add the Configurable List widget to your form so your users can add the individual data and they can manually add rows based on the number of students. Let me show you how:
- In Form Builder, click on the Add Form Element menu on the left side of the page.
- Under the Widgets tab, add the Configurable List widget into your form.
- You can customize the fields using the Fields Configuration Box. In the box, use the syntax below (click here to learn more).
- After finishing all of the customizations, click on Update Widget and you're done.
In addition, if you're referring to only showing fields based on users answer, you can use the Conditional logic feature. Let me show you how:
- On your My Forms page, hover your mouse over your form and click on Edit Form.
- In Form Builder, click on the Add Form Element menu and drag-drop the fields you want to use as follow-up questions (Short Text fields are used in this example).
- Click on the Type a Question text and change it to How many students?
- Add multiple Input table fields and add the number of Rows specific for each field.
Now, let's set up the conditions:
- In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
- Click on Conditions on the left of the page.
- Now, click on Add a New Condition and then click on Show/Hide Field.
Keep us updated and let us know how it goes.
