we have many registrations and today...two of them would not take as accepted because of the email address (which was correct for the person)..
so I went into the form and changed the email format to just short text and it now takes again....
but thinking this is a glitch?

I have created a demo form and the email validation seems to be working properly.

Make sure that the "Disallow Free Addresses" option is set to OFF.
If it is set to ON, free email addresses with a domain such as gmail or hotmail will not be allowed.
