    Hi Scott,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Note that the online form will not look the same as the imported PDF file. The system will try its best to fetch and clone the form fields from your PDF file. So, you must go through the online form to customize it. I understand that it will take time, especially if there are fields need to be added and updated. Unfortunately, the only option is to edit the web form such that it looks like the original PDF.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Instead of doing a smart pdf, can I click on "my sign documents" and upload a document and then create signable document?

    Hi primebaseball,

Thanks for reaching out to us for help. It’s easy to create a Signable Document. Let me show you how:

    1. Go to your My Documents page and click on Create Sign Document.
    2. Now, you can upload your own document, or you can use the Demo Document to test it out.
    3. Then, you can add more documents, or you can just continue by clicking on the Create Signable Document button.
    4. That will redirect you to the Sign Builder page.

After creating your document, you can let the system detect fields automatically by clicking on the Detect Fields button, or you can manually match your fields with elements by dismissing the pop-up message:

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.
