I was wondering if we had a basic JotForm account, and we used the Dropbox form feature, would we still be limited by JotForm's space limitations? (I wasn't sure if the files were still stored on JotForm in addition to our Dropbox accounts)

The answer is Yes, even your form is connected to any 3rd party sevices like dropbox, your limits would work as it should be. Files are also uploaded to JotForm servers for backup purposes, however you can always delete them by deleting the submissions containing uploaded files (of course your dropbox files will not be affected).
