On our online order form, we would like to give customers the option to pay by either check or by Paypal. Our current design opens Paypal immediately when you hit "submit", but we would like to add another submit button that places the order but does not open Paypal.

To make your respondents not redirected to PayPal when they hit the submit button, you need to hide the PayPal payment field on your form conditionally.
You can add another field that will ask your respondents if they would like to pay online via PayPal or offline. That field can be a checkbox field, a drop-down field, or a radio button field. Based on the answer provided by your respondents in that field, it will conditionally SHOW/HIDE the PayPal field and the submit button that says Pay via PayPal. And if the PayPal payment field is hidden, it should just show another checkbox field that has the item being purchased as the option selected by default and a different submit button.
I have created a clone version of your form where I have applied the workaround I mentioned above. Here's the link to that form — https://form.jotform.com/81985293235971

save your "cloned" version as our working form (without it changing the
hyperlink we have already shred with our customers)?

It's not possible. Let me work on your form instead. Please do not edit until my next reply.

Please check now.
Again, here are the steps:
1. Added a checkbox with the same item from the Paypal field. The item is selected by default and the whole field is set as a required and read only (Advanced tab)
2. Added a conditional logic to show Paypal field when Paypal is chosen as Payment Method. Otherwise, show Checkbox.
