How to add days into date picker from today's date?

  • uldfire
Asked on July 18, 2018 at 6:21 PM

We have two forms. On those forms, we have a section for the client/form filler to submit a requested date to have their project back. We need to have that date automatically, daily changed for 35 days from today's date/the date they complete the form.

For Example, if the client is completing a form today requesting their project to be due  - the first day they should be able to enter in that field should be August 22.

Please let us know how we can accomplish this.

    Thank You!

Here's how to add 35 days to your date picker from today's date.

    1). Create two date picker

2). The first date picker can be hidden so users won't see it on your form

3). On the first date picker, go to properties > Options tab > Set "Default Date" to "Current".

4). Create a condition that if first date picker is field, update the value + 35 days and send that value to your 2nd date picker.

Need help ASAP. this is not working correctly. it starts with the date of January 1970. So clients have to scroll through 42 years to correctly pick a date. Help please. Can we chat?

You forgot to add the "Hidden date" field + 35. It should be like this.

Currently, your calculation only shows + 35. Please follow exactly what is shown in this video https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cFiF0MFETq.

Here's your cloned form https://form.jotform.com/82056581949973 with the calendar + 35 days added to it.

    Thank you for the response.

This still allows the client to enter a date before that 35 days. I entered a date into the cloned form, and it did allow me to pick a date 7 days from now. That cannot be an option. The first date available visible to them, and for them to choose, should be after 35 days.

    How can we accomplish this?

You have used an incorrect declaration for + symbol.

I have fixed your form. Please check it again.

The form is allowing customers to type in or choose a day before the 35 days. We don't want them to have that option. Please advise.

Please test this form https://form.jotform.com/82056581949973 and see if that is what you are trying to achieve with date picker field.

So far, it disabled the past dates and only allows dates after 35 days.

YES! This works! How can we make this happen on our form?

You won't be needing the hidden field and condition based on my test so please delete both.

You only need two things to make this work.

1). Click on the Date Picker field > Click on Properties > Click on Limits Tab > Under "Start & End Date" add "today+35"

2). Last option is to set the "Disable Past Dates" to "Yes" under Advanced tab.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any questions or if you need further assistance.
